The recorder works in a satisfactory manner. It is however very cheaply made and that concerns me over time... The weight is acceptable, almost point perfect, it's something you notice but isn't incumbering. This new business model of not including vital 'accessories' ie a cabled microphone or industry standard ear piece is frustrating. I'd still say take your chances!

Voice Activated Olympus
Love it. We use it to monitor our dog’s barking while away. It records only when she barks. We can relax knowing that she isn’t disturbing the neighbors. We trained her with a anti barking collar. It has to set on the VCVA setting for the voice activated to work. Otherwise it will record continuously.
