Not very good quality
The quality of the product was not as expected. Its difficult to join the rails, speceally my little one face chalanges duing that. I had to replace couple of joining pins when I do this. I bought "Bachmann HO 00691 Thoroughbred Starter Set" some time back, which has clearly higher quality track compared to that, which is very easy to assemble. Overall I dont say this is poor quality, but compared to previous one little difficult.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't over think it
First let me say that this set comes with very vague to no instructions. My husband and I put this together (not the entire set up, but enough to make a large oval). We were completely over thinking it and made it much more difficult than it should have been. That being said once we figured out that it really was just assemble and plug in (the power pack must be purchased seperately) we got it running in no time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I LOVE HOW EASY IT IS PUT TOGETHER & STAYS TOGETHER.
I like how it is so EASY to assemble, unlike the other HO style track. The rail joiners are so simple to put together without having to tighten the up using pliers because they're too loose. I am also impressed with the way it doesn't have to be completely flat in order for the train to travel along smoothly. without derailing constantly. I am actually looking forward to using the entire kit when I set up my 4' X 8' layout, possibly larger, as right now I'm only using a 45" X 96" oval for my Christmas Village/Nativity set up that I ordered before ordering the #44497 kit.
