Starmate ST!
Very good radio... Very strong transmitter, but the bad side of radio.. It really generates alot of heat because of the heatsink inside the back of the radio.. The nice thing.. it needs not stupid docking station, no nothing just power adapter and antenna thats it.. To solve the heat problem,, take a CPU FAN or something small and put in the back of the radio... make sure the fan is pointed towards the radio. be sure back clip is removed for full heat removal... And since doing that.. the radio is cold to the touch... and probably will last then 2 years. But since this mostly a house radio anyway.. just the setup i use works very well as shown in the picture... And overheating solved!... VERY COLD TO THE TOUCH... HEAT IS THE #1 killer OF electronics.. Getting rid of the heat will greatly extend the life of the device.
