I had previously miked my acoustic guitar with a dynamic instrument mic. The sound was good, but when I heard the same guitar recorded with a wide aperture condenser mic, I had to buy one. After reading good reviews on the AT3035, I bought this one on eBay at a good price. The sound is so much fuller with the AT3035 when compared to the Shure SH57. There is such an astounding presence to the recording when using the AT3035. The sound was so real that it brought back memories of the old Memorex commercials-"Is it live or is it Ella?" Of course it wasn't live or Memorex, it was digital! The only drawback is that the AT3035 picks up EVERYTHING. I even have to turn of the air conditioning/heating as this mic will pick up the sound of the air blowing through the vents!
Bought this mic for my daughter as she likes using the AT3035 The microphone works great and the long cable and case were nice added features

This mic is one of the best cheap large diagram condenser microphones. It´s very nice sounding. A little bright, but not very very bright like others in this or lower price range. It´s nicer than the new AT2035 because of its solid brass body. It´s made in Japan.
