Great easy to use radio
This is my second radio on about 35 years. The other was a great radio and had no problems with it I just couldn't get receivers for it anymore. The dx8g2 is a great radio with setups that are pretty much intuitive. Not exactly but pretty close. Customer service from Horizon is fantastic. They actually do call back reasonably fast when you leave your number for help. Anyway just flew a plane I had for years with the dx8 because of the features the dx8 has that the old radio did not. Spectrum 8x8 gen 2
Spectrum is so far advanced than Futaba. Have been a Futaba guy for 25 years. I finally looked at a Spectrum that a friend of mine gave me as he was getting out of the hobby. I was amazed. Firmware upgradable transmitter and receivers, full telemetry, voice, and so much more. Futaba just is not keeping up with the game any longer. They have been the mainstream for years but are getting left behind with the new technology. Did I mention that they have 4 trainer modes including wireless? No more wires to trip over or get caught up in when teaching a student. I’m paying was paying $89 for a basic 2.4 ghz receiver. Try $39!! From gen1 to Gen 2
I own an older Dx8 Gen 1 than had lost a couple of switches. I decided to upgrade to the Gen 2. I love the bind and fly option. Best remote I've used yet
I've had had 4 remotes in the past. They all served me well for what I was flying. After 7 years of tricopter, quadcopters, gliders and planes.
