Complicated, awkward instructions, good speaker sound.
The Cardo Slim has pretty good speakers, JBL. The boom mic works well enough on my Z1R Nomad helmet that my wife was able to hear me very wellin a phone conversation. The FM radio receiver does not seem to be able to scan in very many stations though. When the FM is playing however, the clarity is crystal clear as is the music mode. I have not used the unit in the road as yet so, I cannot review the actual purpose of the units. The pieces were simple enough to install. But, the way the boom mic is designed to grab hold and stick to your helmet liner is pretty cheap and I lost a clip on day one. It is not replaceable part per Cardo Support so, it is stuffed into a pocket on my helmet neck curtain for now. It is extremely complicated to understand even how to turn it on much less set it up. The Cardo Connect software is very unimpressive and of little help. Seems I must turn it off to get back to other screen. Setup instructions that came with it are awful. Very vague images showing fingering of buttons. There are as many combinations of button presses as there are card game hands. Might never fully understand how to use this thing. But, I hope it is better that using hand gestures and yelling to let my wife know that I have to stop for gas etc. Using on 2007 BMW K1200GT for now.

One of the best products I have purchased in recent times
I have had this for a while and it out performs other brands. Cardo Support is an example of what 'Support' should be at a Gold level; it is absolutely AAA+. I have never experienced such good support from any company in recent history. Can't express how good they are and is another excellent reason to buy this product. DMC is a great and clear way to communicate too, which these units have. Everything is easy to operate too.

Great quality, easy installation on most helmets.
Installed on my HJC, works awesome. Easy install. Also installed on an icon helmet and had to do a minor cut into the rubber seal on the cheek pads. Very happy with the sound quality, and connects quickly with others in a pack. You can even make a group call to another person who may not have a cardo.

I wish the JBL speakers were a bit better quality... I wear plugs when I ride and i could hardly hear anything over 40mph. My wife rides too and she feels better knowing that she could talk to me during her ride.
