Easy to use and very effective
Fantastic for keeping our double brick home dry in winter. I'm always impressed with how much water accumulates in the tank after 4 hours running on low setting. I chose this model because it was rated as a couple of decibels quieter than the 632 model, and can confirm that when running on low it is very very quiet, but still really effective. I probably wouldn't run it on high in a bedroom when trying to sleep, but could if needed. Dampness has significantly reduced in the few weeks we've had it, and condensation on windows has practically all disappeared. Powered desiccant dehumidifer
This device is useful to extract moisture from air where humidity is high. Noise and running costs are low. Output air temperature is not cooled so it is not ideal for those days where the weather is like Singapore. But for the other 98% of the year this device is a good way to improve air quality and avoid damage from his moisture. Works well
Even though it is quiet and not an intrusive noise I would prefer to sleep without the fan noise so I run it through the day and rely on the auto shutdown when the water container is full which takes about 14 hours. Thoroughly Recommended
According to Choice, Ionmax make the best dehumidifiers - and the ION612 is my favourite of these because it has a negative ion generator. It's super quiet because it's a dessiccant, rather than a compressor dehumidifier. Out of the numerous features it has, I really appreciate laundry mode which efficiently dries clothes, and also the Silver Nano air filter which kills bacteria on contact. The humidity settings also make it simple to 'set and forget' on the required level to prevent mould being able to grow, or to prevent condensation forming on windows.
