This is the second Nitecore head lamp I’ve bought and I would not consider buying any other brand. Everyone asks where did I get the Nitecore HC90 I have already, the battery is the original, had it for several years now. The HC65 has similar feature including 100 lumens extra.

Pros: It is much lighter than the HC50 I have owner for years and is easier to replace the battery in the dark as it has no pin alignment on the screw cap. Cons: when the battery gets low it instantly drops to the lowest light setting no gradual dimming. The lens is not as equal as the HC50 and has a more concentrated centre dot harder on theeyes when you wear it for hours on end. doe not seem to be any brighter than my HC50.

Smaller and lighter than my old HC50 (which I had for many years). Excellent light output although beam slightly more concentrated at centre but I like that. Excellent quality all over. Only part that bugs me is torch will turn from super bright to almost nothing when battery is flat. Gradual decline would be better. Comfortable. Adjustable. Can't fault it otherwise.
