The Canon PIXMA MP620 is worth every penny I spent. This Canon Printer comes with all the software you need to install it. The software is also available on the Canon website. Setup takes about 30 minutes including installation time. You can hook it up through a WiFi connection or through a cable for easier setup. The MP620 print cartridges are available for cheap. Some have complained that this All in one printer uses up a lot of ink when printing. I used to have this problem as well; Until I figured out you can change your printings from high quality printing to standard quality or low quality through the printer preferences option. Printing plain text documents in low or standard quality with save you a lot of ink and a lot of money. This Canon printer even has an SD and MS duo port so you can plug your pictures directly into the printer. I can print from my computer or from the Canon printer directly using The LCD screen and buttons located on the front of the printer. The scan function is not fast but works well and sometimes the scanner has to warm up if you haven't used it in awhile. (A handy pop window that tells you it's warming up. ) Transfering scanned images to a PC can be slow at times but you can also transfer your scanned images speedily through USB flash drive. The PIXMA Canon MP620 printer takes computer printing paper ,hard stock photo paper , and full page shipping labels. in the top and the bottom , What's cool about this is I have shipping labels on the top and put regular printer paper on the bottom. , I have ran this printer on windows vista and windows 7 professional as well as windows XP service pack 2. It works well with all of these windows operating systems. It has built in tools to clean the nozzles and check for clogs, although I never needed to use them. The MP620 print cartridges are available for cheap.Read full review
This printer does it all. Easily scan, copy print or save to disc. I use this printer at my office. We have it set up with a CIS (Continuous Ink System). Type mp620 CIS into the Ebay search and find it for $80.00. Cis makes it so you don't have to change cartridges and the ink lasts. We print photos and work documents all day long. There are two separate paper trays for ease of use. We keep photo paper in the second tray and print on the fly. The WIFI was very easy to set up to our wireless router. Whenever a new person visits they can easily connect to the printer WIFI (with passcode) and print whatever they need. I am a picky printer. I kept my Epson Stylus 640 for many years because the ink was in expensive, just $4 per cartridge, and the prints were great. When it broke down and died I went to EBAY and purchased a 7 year old replacement same model. Alas that one has too gone the way of the Dodo bird. This printer along with the CIS has replaced my 640 and I'm quite happy. I have CIS hooked up to my new Workforce 1100, also an Epson. This too works great and it also does 11x17 pages.Read full review
I like everything about this printer, ink cartridges are easy to refill, the printer allows you to override the ink level monitor so I have been able to refill the black cartridge 7 times so far with zero hassles. I have refilled the color and love this feature. It is easy to operate and set up ,the scan is great, scans very clearly, and the color pictures are stunningly clear and bright. I have printed some color t-shirt iron on transfers and they work fabulously, and the kids love them, all you have to do is select the iron on paper as the type and it automatically reverses the image. A great printer in my opinion
Nicely designed, streamlined all-in-one. Fairly easy to set up and operate. Haven't set it up for wireless yet but it works seamlessly on USB connection. Makes a lot of "set-up" noises and prints at an average speed, neither super-fast nor super-slow. Color/head alignment process a tad tedious but necessary for color photos. LOVE the price! And it is recommended by Apple for Macintosh users; connection to my MacBook was a snap. Looks harder for Windows users.
This printer was purchased for general printing and also to copy and reprint old pictures. It gives a sharp image for old pictures and taking the time to enhance they turn out better than the original. Printer is sealed, less dust to get inside from previous printers, and runs very quiet. Even the control, off and on are in closed area. Very easy to place a stack of paper in bottom drawer and feed paper is automatic. No more placing paper in the top feed area and have the computer tell me out of paper, when the paper is stuck and will not go through. Very happy with this printer, have found nothing I dislike.
This printer is great. It is a multipurpose printer that prints from the bottom and also the top depending on your process. It was hard to learn how to scan and I am always annoyed by the amount of software that Canon makes you download for everyone of its items. The printing is great although sending the application from computer to printer is slow. The reason why it is not a 5 is because setting it up wirelessly is very complicated and the manual and instructions online are confusing. It is worth the price although the ink runs out at a fast to modest pace.
Setting up this printer was simple. I have it hooked up through the LAN option and can print straight from my computer or PS3 (which is on the other side of the house)with no problem. The photo prints look really good and don't take that long at all. Every function is easy to use. My mom could figure it out. I've only had the printer for a few days though so I haven't really got to play with it yet.
The printer is very good looking and well enclosed to decrease the amount of dirt thant goes in it. Set up took about 30 minutes and very easy to use and not confusing. It doesn't support multi-duplexing but you can use manual duplexing and the picture quality is one of the best I have seen on any multi-function printer. The ink last longer and canon did a good job with this one with its connectivity functions. It can be connected via wifi, wired-ethernet or usb. More functions are present in the MP980 series
Newer isn't always better. The Canon PIXMA MP620 is selling for more now used than it was when I purchased my original new. Its value over other all-in-one printers can focus on the ability to print wirelessly with a WiFi connection (even though this is not my favorite feature). I love Canon's crisp pictures (fine-printhead technology that prints with microscopic droplets) and the ability to purchase archival-quality ChromaLife 100+ (pictures can last up to 300 years!) ink for those precious photos. Glad to locate a great second MP620!
I wish I knew how to get it to connect to my tablet so I could use it threw Wi-Fi and it would have been nice to know that the inks were like almost empty too. But its ok ill figure it out. Thanks
