  • Zulu

Zulu is beautiful, horrific and bloody. The writer, director and actors bring this event to life. Bravo to Michael Caine's introduction role that launched his wonderful career. Richard Burton's narration gives credence to his absolute mastery of the English language. If you are looking for a believable film of war from over a century ago... this is the one film you must watch.

  • This was so impressive a Battle, it should be included in the Library of Congress!!!

To begin with, this is an important British War Story...Most meaningful, if you understand the Brit high society, and certainly the Royals. I happen to be at the right place, at the right time, and purchased an Original Etching of this fantastic 5000 Zulu, battling approx. What...100 odd Bridge Building Engineers, coupled with a few wounded regulars and misfits...in an African outpost...during the after math of 1000 Brit troops, having been killed off by the same 5000 Zulus...only to be "STOPPED" in their tracks by a fraction of " Red-Coat Engineers"??? Even the Zulus were shocked...and most respectful of this IMPRESSIVE BATTLE! Cheers!!!!!

  • Great movie!

“Zulu” is an outstanding movie! Michael Caine’s first film! The battlefield tactics deployed by both the Zulu tribesmen and the British army in South Africa in 1876 is most impressive. This true story of the battle of Rorke’s Drift is fascinating and terrifying! 4000 Zulu warriors besieging roughly 125 British soldiers. The discipline of the British Army is impressive!

  • ZULU Review

A made in 1963 movie. More or less it is an historical documentary of the British experience in South Africa before South Africa was South Africa. Michael Caine's first movie, which later led to his storied film career.

  • Appropriate title for this film

A very intriguing and exciting plot, the director and producer Site 300 British regulars against 3000 Zulu soldiers and the British end up being victorious in the end. Exciting exciting action and some of the best cinematography I've seen in any movie I've ever watched, truly a classic. Michael Caine's debut film performance he's not only believable but it's interesting and sexy. I would definitely recommend this film to any War film buff or action film enthusiasts, but it appeals to anybody because it has a very positive message about bravery and loyalty, mild violence definitely safe to show you're preteens and teens.

  • ZULU

This movie was made in 1964. It is a true story! It takes place on my birthday. On a summer night in '64'my wife to be and I were up front at the drive-in for the premier of Zulu and the second feature, 'Psycho' There can't be two louder movies on this planet and she slept through both of them. That is the main reason for the purchase. She loved Zulu.

  • An Excellent Movie for all times

An excellent movie for all times and most ages. I watched it as a child, and found it to be very savage in all respects. The brave men who fought at Natal, on both sides make a clear spectacle of war, and the horror that comes with you ; you will not soon forget.

  • Great title for this movie.

Great movie! Movies are not made like they use to be and and the actors today are not as good as the ones who were in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. Today, people are to nihilistic.
