  • Even Better Than I Thought it Would Be

If you could take all the elements of the best 70's guitar rock/pop groups from the UK put them together....you'd have Badfinger. But Unicorn is damned good, too. The songwriting and the occasionally unusual arrangements are a nice surprise. Most comparisons are to country rock/folk rock....but this is not an imitation of Poco or the Eagles. Not by a long shot. When something is excellent comparison is difficult. That's what we have here. I am curious enough to seek out their other reissue on Esoteric Recordings, who do a uniformly great job.

  • Wow--like the band America but with bett...

Wow--like the band America but with better guitar and bass (and produced by David Gilmour who pulls excellent solos and is quite excellent on pedal steel!).. Good notes, bonus tracks, and you'd possibly think this is excellent American elecrtric folk with Sneaky Pete on pedal steel - wonderfully surprsing and a soothing yet rocking delight! Enjoy!
