Excellent portrait of a fine blues guitarist in his prime. Only possible complaint is that Elmore James's 'Cry For Me Baby' with Eddie's great riff is not on here.

Eddie Taylor may be the guitar star you never heard of. He was the backbone of recordings by several blues luminaries, notably Jimmy Reed but also John Lee Hooker and Elmore James. This admirable collection brings together some of the best of these, and includes some of his Taylor's own output under his own name: Big Town Playboy, Looking For Trouble and Ride 'Em On Down. Recommended.
