Back to school!
The Adobe Classroom In A Book for Photoshop Elements 7 is the company manual for Elements 7. It takes you from the basics of filing and editing your photos through how to put together a slide presentation and sharing your work with others. It includes a CD with more tips and hints to better your efforts. I used Elements 7 in a college class I took a few years ago. I enjoyed using it for the class, but after the class I became lazy and started using Picasa by Google for my everyday editing needs. For a quick, basic editor it is fine, but it is not nearly as robust as Adobe Elements, nor can it perform the more intricate tasks that Elements performs with ease. My interest in Elements 7 was rekindled recently and I reinstalled it on my XP computer. I found out that it doesn't take me very long to forget how to use something that I have set aside for a while, and although I could manage the basic editing functions, I had forgotten how to do the more demanding tasks. My solution was to buy the Classroom in a Book book to relearn the many functions available in Elements 7, and I'm glad I did. All one needs to do is to sit at the computer with Elements open and the book open and follow the easy to understand instructions. Soon one will be editing like a "pro" and will be proud of the results one is able to produce to show off to friends, and/or to enter into photo contests. The only drawback that I have found is that Adobe Elements 7 didn't want to install on my Windows 7 computer, so check before you buy if you are using a newer system than XP, or upgrade to a newer version of Elements.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
