Great Balancer, but Needs Something...
I have used this balancer to balance a large number of props, since receiving it. It's a great design, sturdy built and works great. It is especially useful in balancing larger, quadcopter/drone props like Phantom and Chroma.
The balancer comes with a universal balance rod, that fits a wide range of prop sizes. However, when balancing fixed-nut props, like Phantom, you will need a special threaded rod, specific to the prop. Since these props will not allow the balance rod to pass completely "through" the center of the prop, a special rod is needed. Also, I wanted to balance even my small, lightweight props, like on a Syma X5C or other toy-grade quadcopters. These cheap props are typically very unbalanced, but have a very small shaft hole. This is a problem with ANY balancer, since no balance rods exist for these small props. I have made my own, using a variety of material, including bicycle spokes. Once you make something fit, the balancer works amazingly well for these small props as well. And it makes a BIG difference in performance, even on the toy drones.
So, this is a great balancer, that will work on most ant prop. BUT, there are not enough balance rods available, for the large number of aircraft out there. This is a problem that shouldn't exist. Yes, you can make your own, but not everyone has that ability and wouldn't it be nice to have them available for this great balancer.
