Great for migraine sufferers
My daughter suffers from migraines and light makes her symptoms worse. This mask completely blocks out all light, but does not place any pressure on your eyes; you can even open your eyes and remain in complete darkness. I was expecting something higher quality, but it DOES work.
Huh. Well, I can't say what the "original" Mindfolds are like; this is much lower end than I was expecting BUT IT WORKS. Is it worth $13? Haha! NO, I could have made it from materials lying around. Plus, perhaps my nose is too wide, so I have to smash the thing against my face to get a true blackout effect -- the entire point of the item. The smashing then makes me wish the foam was thicker for the sake of my eyes and eyelashes. I DO LIKE the strap -- they used soft Velcro and did it SMARTLY so it'll fit every head size.

Priceless!!
I had a second shift assignment, out of town and in hotel. Curtains didn't block street lights very well. This item is comfortable to wear and TOTALLY blocks light; enabled me to sleep with the sun up. I bought two extras. You can blink and open your eyes, total darkness. Oh, and I'm a guy. Foam became unstuck
I purchased this item as a re purchase. I recently had laser eye surgery and left this mask at a hotel I was staying and and severely regretted it. I decided to purchase another one, for a week or 2 it was great! Then part of one eye became loose from the mask. And slowly became even bigger. I tried to make it stick back but in the end had to use super glue to get it to stick. Now I can feel the glue when I use the mask.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better luck next time
I like the hard outside material & that there is space for my eyes, but that’s about as far as it goes. Unfortunately, each time I go to sleep with them on, I wake up & notice they have wiggled up to my forehead during the night. I initially wondered who kept moving them off my eyes in the middle of the night or that perhaps I had done this in my sleep. After wearing them a few times, I noticed they began to slide a little on their own. I also don’t move much during the night & sleep on my back so it’s not like I’m thrashing about during the night. Adjusting the straps looser or tighter does not make this any better. The hard material outside keeps the covers away from my eyes though which is a good feature.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This does what it’s supposed to do -keep the light out- very well. I don’t find it very comfortable, though. The front seems to be made of something stiff like cardboard and the straps are velcro and elastic so when you adjust the they stay put. The only problem is that the Velcro rubbed hard above my ears. Restricted airflow in my nose, so no guarantee this will fit your face well. Also has a hard shell and Velcro straps that made it really uncomfortable/hirt around my ears when wearing. Awesome cave like experience.

Effective, expensive, great tripper/meditator tool
This is expensive for a flat piece of plastic, a foam cut-out, and an adjustable velcro band. Someone could certainly produce the same product for much cheaper.
