I have broke of wore out quite a few of these starter systems because I didn't follow the recommendations per the manufacturer of the product such as: Don't let water or debris come in contact with the motor on the starter( dud this when washing the mud off of the R/C) If the r/c was not tuned correctly I would hold down the starter button for 30 -40 seconds at a time while turning the Air / Fuel mixture screws and it would sometimes take up to three times to do. ( Instructions specifically tell you to only do 1-2 second bursts when trying to start your r/c. But if you make a filter to go over the motor while operating the rc and tape a plastic bag over it when you wash it then it will last a lot longer.
