  • Helps you identify those classical works you're familiar with, but don't know by name.

Little 30 second teasers. That's what these are. Small snippets of classical music that get you in the mood then cut you off, only to start the process again. But, that's the purpose of this disc; to give you short samples of music from different composers for the purpose of identification. With the help of the enclosed booklet you are able to identify that familiar music by name and composer. Y'now... that music that you heard on a television commercial or vintage cartoon when you were a kid. That music on the radio that was never identified by name. That music that was played at a wedding or other formal event that brings back memories. Like all instrumentals (modern and vintage) the lack of lyrics makes it hard to identify classical works. This disc helps you identify those more famous works that may be considered 'greatest hits' of classical music. Classical music is not just for people you think are more intelligent than you (because they can identify the music by name or composer). Classical music is there for all of us to enjoy. Being able to identify that one piece or one composer that excites you can be very rewarding since it may lead you to additional works you're unfamiliar with. Being able to identify so much music in so little time is a great way to dive right in and not feel threatened. Even so-called 'experts' were once 'idiots'. You gotta start somewhere, and this disc is a good place to start.
