Barstow The Barstow is a little wicked and a lot of value. Everything about this slim folding dagger is simple, direct, and ready. The straight spear-point blade is sharpened on a single side. The handle has glass-filled nylon scales with heavy -patterned texture to enhance grip. The Barstow’s dark good looks are set off by touches of subtle color—blue anodized tube spacers and rings in the flipper/fingerguard.. A slim, sleek folding dagger-style pocketknife. 8Cr13MoV blade steel takes a sharp edge; BlackWash™ blade gives the blade a subtle look and helps hide use scratches. Sturdy glass-filled handle is heavily textured for a secure grip. Blade opens quickly and easily with SpeedSafe® assisted opening and the built-in flipper 3960.

Very nice knife
I needed a new pocket knife for every day. I bought this and I really enjoy the feel and how handy it is. I would definitely recommend it. They don't use the plastic washers common in newer less expensive knives between the frame and blade. The blade stays sharp. The clip can be moved from side to side for left or right hand users. The assisted opening action is sluggish. Tough to deploy. Additionally, the blade is shorter than advertised and has less robust than many of my other Kershaw knives. Looks like a dagger!
The Barstow is unique in that it looks like a double-edged dagger, but is, in fact, an assisted opening single-edged pocket knife. It's a bit heavier than I like for EDC, but tolerable under some circumstances. I would find it to be too bulky for dress pants, but OK for jeans or chinos.
