In 2001, SCRUBS turned the "doctor drama" formula on its ear, moving stolid patients and practitioners out of their standard, soap-opera seriousness and into the wily world of single-camera comedy. The scrappy sitcom about an eager intern, J.D. (Zach Braff), offered a unique blend of broad humor and surprising heart that quickly made it a critical darling and a cult favorite. Eight seasons later, the quirky cast has grown up: J.D. is now an M.D., but he’s still flanked by the lovely but neurotic Elliot (Sarah Chalke), his best friend, Turk (Donald Faison), no-nonsense nurse Carla (Judy Reyes), and hard-ass Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley). Luckily, with age doesn’t necessarily come wisdom, and the 2008-09 season offers more of the series’ trademark verbal sparring as J.D. and the others get interns of their own to manage and mislead. This collection includes every episode from the eighth season of SCRUBS, and features deleted scenes, a blooper reel, and a set of intern-based Webisodes.

About as good as any other series finales.
You can tell the writers were running out of material, Braff was getting tired of his character J.D., it was the last season before the Med School line of characters. The cast just grew up.

This should have been the last season.
Scrubs was a laugh riot. At times poinient but always on track entertainment. I was sad to see it end but the last season was a huge disappointment. If you miss it don’t feel bad. Many of the characters through the previous seasons were decimated even though the last episode was fulfilling.

The True Last Season
Season 8 is the real last season of Scrubs. Season 9 brought in new characters, to their detriment. This show was amazing for 8 straight seasons. I LOVE this show and now own all the seasons (except 9) on DVD. This is one of the best shows to ever be on tv, and I miss it so much. The actors were phenomenal and the script was exceptional which made for one perfect comedy. Perfect.
