The Intel virtualization technology contained within this Intel Xeon quad core processor allows for the virtualization of SSE, MMX and EM64T coded software programs from vendors such as VXware and Virtual PC. The enhanced Speed Step technology also maximizes memory processor bandwidth, reduces latency, and increases the cache to core data transfer rate. Good CPU
The CPU itself is very good. I am running it on a 775 socket so I had to buy an adapter sticker and cut off a part of my socket to make it fit. Got it to work though which is good. My only concern is that the X5450 uses way more power than E5450 but perform exactly the same. However, I just needed the CPU to bring back life to an old desktop, which did the job, but that's because I have a power supply with a slightly higher wattage. For a few extra dollars I would recommend getting the E5450. If you want to cheap out, like me, and are sure that your power supply can definitely handle this CPU then definitely buy this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This processor is a real workhorse! The power of two of those processors are incredible!!! Just think: you got 8 cores at 3GHz and in cinebench you get 630 CBP. A single proceesor i7 4790k at stock speed get ~750 CBP. NOW THINK LIKE THIS 2x Xeon X5450 = US $60 and 1x i7 4790k = US $322.99.
