  • Heavyweight with great insight

Mr. Fruchtenbaum takes the bull by the horns with this wonderful, scholastic, undertaking. At this point I've only read through some portions, but I find his work so thorough it may take me several more attempts (and large swaths of time) to properly evaluate his conclusions. Just the fact alone, that no other modern theologian would even attempt to cite every reference to the subject of "Israel" in the Bible, and draw a conclusion from it. He honestly lays out all of the major denominational views within Christendom regarding Israel, and either proves their degree of correctness, or failings. I definitely applaud him for this exhaustive treatise on this most important subject.

  • something to think about

just about the only book related to this subject. does a good job of summarizing the topic from the standpoint of several theological viewpoints. very helpful. 2nd half of the book presents mostly original thinking about the subject.
