What do I think about the Eureka "U" style vacuum belt?
First, do I recommend it - well yes, if you want your vacuum to actually run? Is it a good value - yes and no? Yes, because it's about the same as every other company's belts these days: no, because they seem to wear out unusually fast. By wear out, I don't mean break - I mean stretch out to the point they start slapping the inside of the vacuum cleaner housing and make a truly annoying noise, and can start squealing like a loose automobile fan belt in some cases. Be prepared to change these belts about every four to five months (sometimes two). Let me be clear; this is a manufacturing issue and not a retail issue. I'm thankful to find them at places like eBay because a lot of stores don't or won't carry them. When I bought the vacuum I was used to the old tough workhorse upright vacuum that could almost last forever. The new Eureka vacuums are not what they used to be.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
