Good high-quality muffler and outstanding value for the price. Tried Flowmaster Super 44 and Deltaflow 40 series, but both were much too loud on my 68 big block mustang with headers and no cats! While I imagine they would be too quiet for my 2015 mustang, the Dynomax mufflers are perfect for my 68 car. Good rumble and certainly not quiet. Still quite loud inside the car (these old cars don't have much sound proofing) but outside the sound is tamed down just enough that I'm no longer upsetting my wife and neighbors.

I got this muffler because of the "flow directors." I'm sure if you buy an offset-offset model it will flow better than the offset-center model that I baught. The center outlet is right in the exhaust path making the flow director useless. There is also an engineered flaw in the inlet and outlet tubes. The tubes are 2 1/2" ID, then step down to 2 1/2" OD, which can be expected. The flaw is where the tube transitions to the internal passage it has an inward roll like a tail pipe pencil tip dropping the diameter to just under 2 1/8". I used a set of exhaust pipe expanders to remove the rolls. The sound is good but not loud, it does need about a week to break in and gets a little louder but not harsh. During the break in time don't stand directly in the tail pipe's path as there will be fiberglass blowing out. Think of it as a special reward for tailgaters. Bottom line, if you can go with the offset/offset and expand the rolls, this is a good muffler.Read full review

Got this installed on my Genesis 4.6 v8 and love the deep tone. It's not loud but definitely present when you idle and get on the gas. I love it.

In my opinion this particular muffler has a really nice throaty sound without the chambered rattle. It is not in your face loud nor has any popping sounds much like a glass pack. It is louder than stock though. Your neighbor next door will hear you but should not complain. In the same car i tested two mufflers. The dynomax welded and the dynomax turbo. The turbo was 2 decibels quieter than the welded version. Tested at 4000 RPMs and same distance away (turbo muffler is 101.6db and welded muffler at 103.6db). The turbo doesn't have the resonance frequency and gets quieter at cruising speeds. At idle on a small block chevy, they tend to be a little louder in the cab.
