  • Solid mid/late 90's Sound Solution

If you're building a socket 7, Slot 1, or later Pentium 2/3 machine, this is an excellent card for the job. It's a full plug and play card (not recommended for mobos that don't support PnP) and installed without a hitch using Creative's SBBasic and CTCM utility in my DOS rig- sound quality was good, especially after giving the card and phono jacks a good cleaning. My card arrived a little dusty! But dust is sort of par for the course when you're dealing jn 20 year old hardware MIDI synth, FM, and standard fx all worked great, and I have tested the card in several games and found it to perform as expected. What more can you ask for? Maybe a Voodoo 2 for only 8 bucks! A man can dream...
