This is a decent server processor for single socket servers. As of 2016, it is not the newest processor by any means as it does not include the newer AES-NI feature sets, but it provides excellent processing power for light server work loads. The x3450 is code named Lynnfield and is based on the Nehalem architecture. The x3450 is similar to the i7 860, but it includes ECC RAM support.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Best upgrade budget wise that I have made
Replaced my old i5-760 that I had clocked to 3.7GHz(it could go no further) with this Xeon X3450. I´ve got it clocked at 4GHz and easily running everything that I need to do my daily tasks. New life for an old board
