I'm a collector and player of the unique and unusual of the big brand and some off brand stuff. Never been a huge Gibby fan, even though in a classic rock guy. The flying v crescent moon is wonderful though, and has a vibe and feel all its own. When you think that legends from Hendrix to king played them, and had a style all they're own, the V just has its own place in the guitar world. I swapped the hot ceramic Gibby pups for some Seymour Duncan's with chrome covers, as I wanted a more dressed look and blues warmth from this lightweight but oh so solid beast. I did the graphitec saddles as well, again for a warm vibe. The result is amazing, period. I'll put her against anything from anybody in tone, weight, style, playability and feel. Even before the mods, still best of the best. All welds perfect, fret work perfect, finish accomplished the look of a vintage road warrior. Nickle hardware, true Ebony fretboard, feels like one gorgeous piece of mahogany in your arms as the neck and body are so perfectly set together.Read full review

Myself, like a lot of people out there like a good Gibson guitar, and the Flying V is a classic. The guitar originally came out in the late 50's and has been produced off and on over the years. I own a 2007 faded series, which is one of the better faded series models because it has a mahogany body and neck with a rose wood fret board, some of the newer models have that crappy baked maple fret board, I don't recommend the baked maple at all. Pickups, Gibson stuck a set of 496R and 500T, which are pickups that were supposedly originally designed in the 70's, they are not bad, good for hard rock and such, sound decent clean, but a set of Burstbuckers in this guitar would be better. Two Volume controls, One Tony control and a 3 way switch are the rest of the electronics. with the faded finish, it gives the feel of a broken in and aged guitar, I think Gibson did this more or less to cut corners and save money on production, but it is still a decent guitar. Now almost all of the Faded Series Gibson Flying V's come with a gig bag and not a case, ebay has an error in their description for that. also a lot of people complain about playing a V sitting down, well not trying to be mean, but the guitar is mainly designed for people standing up, it can be played sitting down, but you have to know how to have the center of the v opening on your leg. Michael Schenker , Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz and countless other have played a Gibson Flying V for a reason. I like it and it's not bad for what it is.Read full review
These guys are the Real Deal. Everything they said about their product was right on. I have been lured into buying some real crap on EBay in the past. Not these guys, they sent a one of a kind Guitar. The packaging was beyond Pro, and I got it in 4 days, 4 days early. You can't go wrong with Cream City Music. Check em out. But I might beat you to their next great deal. : )=

This is a student guitar and is exactly that. It is small, plays well sounds decent and seems to stay in tune. The pickup is okay, it isn't top of the line but not garbage either. Overall it is infinitely better then the garbage "first Act" crap that is unusable. This one has decent action and after a few minutes of set-up and intonation adjustments allowed him to want to play it more than once and done.

Wow, this thing plays like a dream, and sounds like a beast! I'd love to be able to afford a Standard someday, but in the meantime this will fulfill my Les Paul needs quite nicely.

Sale experience was fine. No complaints and a fair price but I'm never gonna use this thing. Why did I bother?

Love my Gibson Flying V that I purchased for my birthday. Plays and sounds fantastic. The case it came in smells kinda funky but I got rid of that. Definitely pleased

Very striking guitar. Get lots of compliments on how pretty it is. And it plays awesome. The fretboard is a little wider than I like . . . small hands, but she still rips. Plugged into my Marshall JVM410H it sounds great. Little bit of spank in there. Thought it was tough walking through doorways and not hitting it on the frame, then I got an Explorer. Geez. Love this guitar though.
