The Tribute series, G&L's budget line is on par with or better than a lot of other makers' standards! The MFD pickups have amazing girth and sustain compaired to other single coils, and the voicing is very versatile and capable. Get that classic Telecaster twang & spank, and make it sing, or turn it up and get some real gusto out of it! I prefer this over an American Fender Tele for sound and feel. An incredibly comfortable guitar!

Almost perfect, so I'm happy value-wise. And it will make a great-sounding and playing instrument. As for the "almost", It is a shame that someone has either removed or tried to reseat the neck carelessly, and there are cracks in the finish at the exit edges of the neck pocket on both the treble and bass sides. But there's no structural damage, and they'll soon be forgotten. Bolt-on necks need to be very carefully and gently winkled out of their pockets vertically, i.e. away from the face of the guitar, and never out along the direction of the neck's length. Seller was great to trade with, and the body arrived safely and promptly. I'll enjoy it!

I studied both Fender and G&L. I felt the G&L was my selection being Leo Fender's BIG project Guitar. He had many great people around him when he designed G&L Guitars. Also being a Jerry Cantrell fan..i knew G&L was the real deal. I love this Guitar.....Thanks to Pro Audio Land ..Fullerton, Ca....for a wonderful Guitar.

First off, I admit that I am relatively new to playing guitar but I am a seasoned musician (vocalist and keyboardist by trade). I have owned several guitars over the years including a custom-made telecaster that up until now was my favorite. I had read so much about G&L guitars that I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about. The thing is, they are really hard to find in stores to play (I live in the San Francisco Bay Area), so I basically bought this from an ebay store not knowing if I would like it or not. Let me say that I was not disappointed in the least when I received my brand spankin' new 2015 G&L ASAT Classic with Alnico pickups! It came in a nice and sturdy case and it is a BEAUTIFUL guitar! I specifically wanted the butterscotch finish and couldn't be happier. The thing that surprised me the most was how light the guitar is. It feels perfectly balanced and plays beautifully. I love the 12" fretboard over my previous guitars. The sounds this things produces is simply a thing to behold. I am a tele fan through-and-through, and it captures that classic twang that I was looking for. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how much it can also emulate Strat sounds. It is overall much warmer than any tele that I've ever played and amazingly quiet. I also specifically wanted alnico pups and I'm glad that's what I got. I heard that the ceramic MFD's are really nice, but they also might produce some noise. In closing (Sorry for the long review, but I am super-excited!), I highly, HIGHLY recommend this guitar. I think it has something for everyone.Read full review

Very well built guitar for the money. Feels like an American made guitar. The pickups have a good tone but are very noisy. Meaning they buzz quite a bit. I probably will switch them. Overall, I am very happy with this guitar.

The feel is wonderful and the intonation is set perfectly all over the neck... I can play this better, easier than my Fender, Gibsons or Epiphones. Impressive instrument. I'm very pleased to own this.

Best electric guitar I have ever played. Easy action, neck is smooth and feels like butter. The weight and balance are exact for me. Great!

Beautiful guitar, exceeded expectation. I have another, this is for a family member. Mine is exactly the same except for the finish( red burst ). This classic color axe has a bit brighter tone in all three positions, the PUPS are clean and powerful! I love both guitars. I believe the "classic" is Leo Fender's pinnacle.

I bought my first G&L 8 years ago because I've owned Leo Fender guitars since 1963. I loved his guitars from the 50's & 50's, but they don't compare to those from his final company, G&L. The ASAT Classic is a Tele-lover's dream, whether you're talking about the neck, playability, tone, workmanship, or looks. I've owned well over 100 guitars and still have most of them. Over 50 of my keepers are G&Ls; none are Fenders. Of the above criteria, I think this guitar has the biggest edge over Telecasters & other Tele-style brands in the feel of the neck and workmanship quality. There is a reason that Leo declared these were the finest guitars he ever made - they really are. That's why we who play them find them so hard to part with. And they were built to last. I've taken 2 G&L factory tours and compared the processesing, assembly, and critical inspection standards to those at other guitar factories. Leo was right.Read full review
Great feeling US guitar! The Pickups are a bit hot, but easily tamed with the Tone knob.
