I bought this product as the brand is not sold in my country and i had wanted to try a few different products from NYX. I really like this product and brand, not only is it inexpensive but the quality exceeded my expectations. The colour was highly pigmented and i only needed to used very little product to get noticeable colour. It also blends very well becoming softer without completely loosing all colour. The packaging is compact and can easily fit in a small makeup case in your handbag with other products when you're on the go. The only negative point i have to say about the product is that its a little powdery, and tends to have fallout, which if your using a darker or bright colour then you may find can be a little messy to use, but i found by using a light hand you will be fine. Overrall the results in my opinion were fantastic with a small exception that i am able to overlook. For a product that is so cheap with such great pigmentation i would highly recommend this product for any makeup enthusiast.Read full review
I bought the Nyx powder blush in taupe originally because I wanted to have a true contouring color. Since I have light skin other bronzers are way too warm for me and start to look orange. That doesn't happen with this taupe color at all using it as a contour color I feel like my cheekbones look more defined and at the same time it looks natural. The powder is easy to blend and very pigmented I also use it to define my crease. My only complaints on the product is that sometimes I feel like its too cool toned so I mix it with NYC's Sunny bronzer and I like how that looks a little bit better and the packaging looks a bit on the cheap side not that that really matters to me all that much. Since I haven't purchased any high end contouring powders I don't know how this would compare but all I know is that this product works for me and the low price point is an added bonus.Read full review
I bought this product because i wanted a nice pinky blush that didnt look over done because i like the "natural look" overall this on is lovely. nice colour and goes with every outfit and pretty much every makeup routine, though it breaks up to quickly so powder goes all over the place compared to my other blushes that i use, i wouldnt say this is my favourite one, i use the mac hello kitty product and it goes on very well, though this is my second favourite :)
Why the RED, you may ask. :) So for years & years (from the 70's, 80's!) I've been searching for a dupe or just a close match to a discontinued Cover Girl Cheekers blush called Watermelon Slice. I must have used up a half dozen of those things before they were not to be found anymore. It was a lovely bright watermelon red/pink, but not too bright or dark when applied, & best of all it just looked natural on my skin, which is fair, very cool-toned, & prone to freckles. Now I also have ash brown naturally graying hair so warmer toned blushes don't work as well as the cool ones. Berry tones actually work best with my skin, hair & hazel (blue/golden green) eye color. I chose the Red Nyx Powder Blush color, not quite knowing what it would be like, but happily it's wonderful! It isn't a match for the CG product, but it's in the same color range & is just as nice on my skin tone. This Red shade provides cheek color for me that looks naturally flushed as if I just came in from outdoors on a breezy day or maybe just finished light exercising. APPLICATION: Since it is VERY PIGMENTED I need to use a very soft brush AND a light hand to get enough color for the perfect finish, although darker skintones could use more product & I believe this would work very well for even the darkest ladies. I wear face primer, sometimes with liquid foundation, but often not, followed by translucent (usually Physician's Formula mineral) powder with this blush on top. I then use a mineral setting powder (Silk Finish but I don't remember the brand name) over the blush & it lasts all day long! I apply it on top of my cheekbones & just slightly up toward the hairline for a lifting effect. It is not as silky/smooth as some other blushes I own but it blends nicely into the skin to look very natural. I've had several compliments on my skin (not my make-up) when wearing this, most saying how healthy I look.Read full review
I got this because I heard it was good to use as a contour powder for fair or cool-toned skin. I have a very hard time contouring with normal bronzers as they tend to look muddy on me. This is a very cool-toned almost grayish brown that is perfect for going in with a detailed brush (any you like, small dome, tapered, flat whatever you prefer) and creating the "shadow" that is contouring, and then I go n with a regular bronzer and big fluffy brush (Real Techniques blush brush if anyone was interested) to warm up my face. It's changed my contour game. If you have very fair skin, or even just cool-toned skin I highly recommend this product.
