Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Men's Shavers
I have used razor blades pretty much all my life but decided to take the plunge into electric shavers, I am just tired of shaving. I was hoping that it would be faster and less of a hassle, it's slightly faster and less stuff involved. The quality of the shave is not as good as a blade, I can get closer with the blade and find that I can get away with shaving less often (this may not be the case with everyone, my beard does not grow fast). It is convenient for a quick touch-up but if you let it go for a couple of days you are better off using a blade. The cost per shave and longevity is unknown. I'd say if you shave often an electric shaver will be a good choice. If you leave longer periods between shaves, stick with the blade. This being my first electric shaver, it seems to be a quality product with many useful features.Read full review

I am seriously considering returning this unit to Braun under their 60-day risk-free guarantee. It seems to be well made and of quality materials but it doesn't shave me very closely - and I have a light beard. The shaving unit is cumbersome and along with the large, unsightly (and unnecessary) charger/cleaner takes up considerable counter space. I bought this because it was recommended by the leading consumer products testing magazine and because of eBay's most competitive (but still expensive) price. I'm still debating if I should go through the trouble and expense of shipping it back to Braun.

It is a great shaver and I love that it self cleans. I do take the little metal head piece off after each shave and knock it against the sink to get the hairs out first. I then place it in the self cleaning station, push the button and leave. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I wish it could shave closer. Its a good shave, but so long as its not as close as a razor, there is always room for improvement.

Yes, the is very much a step up from my previous 23-year old Braun shaver. This new shaver in comparison takes a bit of time to get used to due to the upgraded technology it has. I like it. I works very well and gives me a very close shave fairly easily. So yes, I am quite satisfied with it.

Supposedly one of the best, if not the best shaver on the market. Well, I'm not sure, I don't have much to compare it to as I've been using blades up to this point. It's definitely not as close a shave, but I can't complain nonetheless. Of all the many many reviews I read before finally settling on this shaver, I will say that all the complaints about others shavers I did not experience with this one. No overheating, cleans well, smells good after cleaning, can run plugged in directly etc. With that being said, I haven't decided if I'm staying with the shaver or going back to blades. It is a nice piece of hardware and I really enjoy a fast shave when I'm in a rush, that it does do nicely. However the close shave of a razor(blades) has left me wanting. Nonetheless, I don't have any complaints as an electric shaver. Works very well. Tells you battery levels, how dirty the heads are, will clean the heads for you, it virtually looks after itself and performs well. If you're looking for an electric shaver, I do recommend this one. Granted I have nothing to compare it to, but I have no complaints either.Read full review
