For what I paid for this mic it does the job pretty well. I generally never use the super-cardioid pattern on the switch as it's extremely noisy... but the normal cardioid is fine. I do get some 50-60hz hum which, I believe, is just a bad ground in the outlet I've got my mixer plugged into... but I'm able to remove it with my audio editing software. Aside from those two flaws, it's a pretty good mic. Good sound, nice range to pick up from. I'm very happy with it... especially for the price.
has more back ground noise than any microphones i have, does handle load noises well , might be good as live cymbal mic but there are certainly better choices for less , i wouldnt use it for recording, gain to noice is bad , not sure what it would be best for {learning maybe} , i gave mine to a kid to mic his guitar amp and does pretty good , the back ground noise isnt noticeable at all as the amp has pretty dirty sound any way (57 or 57 knock off would be better} , it is solid constructed not cheaply make , phanton power has more noise than battery power

Great pickup with minimal noise at cardioid setting. Super cardioide setting does produce noise, therefore, you need to reduce the input gain to reduce noise. Internal plastic casing is weak. Weakness causes issues to fully insert XLR plug cable. It is a good budget mic
Great mic for the price. I wish it was a little bit shorter so I don't have to take it off the camera every time I put it in the case.

These units pick up no better than any standard microphone. Their description said they would be good for thearter use, thats why i bought them. They got packed back up, and returned after two very frustrating days of trying every trick i could think of to get them to work for my applications. I have used nady for years, and solidly trust them. These mics look great, but a waste of money
