NcStar(China North Industries, one of the better Chi-com military owned companies) 4X30 Rifle scope. NOT a Toy Airsoft lookalike.

This and another, both on Real military un-issued chrome lined Norinco 20"bbl'd SKS's, dialed right in and held zero. most Chinese scopes have a 1 in three failure rate, not NcStar. My SC430E(illuminated) on a CAR acts just the same. For the price you won't be disappointed.

    NC Star 4 X 32 Scope

Update 9/30/18 used it a couple of times the front glass came loose had to put locktite inside. Like I said you get what you pay for. I have never in my life bought any NC STAR PRODUCT THAT'S ANY GOOD. DO NOT RELY ON NC STAR PRODUCTS YOU ARE THROWING TIME AND MONEY WAY !!!!!! Looks and feels nice. It mounted well, Although I have not had luck with any Nc star products due to there bottom of the barrel or even worse. We will see if it holds up to my .22 spring break Pistol Hatsan. If it works as good as it looks we may have a keeper. Remember you get what you paid for. Will update later

  • Well worth the money

Mounted on a crossbow. Mil-dot crosshairs worked great. Zeroed center crosshair at 20yd, 1st above worked at 10yd 1st below 30yd 2nd below very close at 40yd, Light and compact. Focus turns a little too easy and just a little lens distortion. All around an excellent scope for the price!!

  • Good for the price

The recticals are too large covering the target. Eye movement changes the aiming point around the target. Unable to obtain a tight pattern 4.5" at 200 yards. Rife is capable of 2" at 200 yards with gun vice. Shock resistant and rugged good for hunting in adverse conditions.

  • High Quality Product Worth More Than It Costs

This is an extremely high-quality product for $20! It is worth much more than $20! The scope is well-made, not shoddy and cheap. The glass is good and clear and I notice no blurriness that some other people report. It is important to point out the benefits and it is useful to point out the limitations. Bear in mind that this is a small and compact scope, which is by no means a drawback, but it means some things. The field of view is smaller than a longer, larger scope. This scope is kind of like a red dot but without a red dot and with magnification. My scope is mounted on an AR shooting .223 and I mounted high enough with see-through rail extensions and rings on top of the rails that I can still use iron sights. I shoot 50 yards, maybe 100, but no more than 100, and usually 50. The reticle on this scope is thick, especially magnified, but that is good for me for target shooting because I need the crosshairs to be ON my target. The limited field of view is sufficient for a fixed non-moving target. I bought two of these scopes, and as one other reviewer pointed out: At $20, you could buy a lifetime supply of these scopes for what one four-figure scope costs. I like this scope, recommend it, and I would buy it again and again.

  • Inexpensive and effective

I placed the NC Star 4x30 scope on a 6.5 Grendel rifle, and fired 80 rounds through it at a 50 yard distance target.. Thus far, no distortion or other problems. Inexpensive and effective fixed power scope.

  • Great scope, compact and its milled

I have a similar scope on my other AR15 and it puts 4 inch groupings at 250 yards, I put this one on my Sig 556, it zeroed like most other scopes, there are caps to cover the knobs so you don't bump it and mess up your zero. The mill dots make it easy to make adjustments on the fly. Once zeroed I was able to put 3 rounds in the same hole at 50 yards. Just keep in mind you'll need your own scope rings.

  • Gear snobs beware!

This is not a $900 scope with batteries and lasers. This is not crafted in outer space to survey galaxy clusters on the edge of existence itself. It is a cheap rifle scope, that once placed on a rifle, allows you to place shots where you place the cross-hairs and unless you are discovering planets or shooting pennies from a mile away for the Guinness Book, then it will work. It is not plastic, I do not see this distortion everyone claims happens if you cannot adjust the magnification. I do not even have a spot in my yard where I can see anything more than 200 yards out unless I point it at the moon. The moon looks clear, the trees 5 houses over look clear, the pool toys 15 feet away look clear. My eyes are not perfect but I can see enough in this scope to shoot anything around. It does not come with scope mounts but I only use see through scope mounts because I love iron sights and everything they say about cheek weld and objective bla bla bla is mostly gear snobbery nitpicking like everything else. You can use the iron sights and see downrange under the scope and then swivel your head yup and quickly sight your target in the scope. I never pay outrageous amounts of money for anything, instead of a $400 scope to worry about dropping and getting scratches, you could buy 25 of these scopes and have a lifetime supply. Unless you find yourself in a dessert or wide open field, in a sniper duel with Vasily Zaytsev, this scope will be enough. It has a limited lifetime guarantee and is claimed to be reticle tested on a .50 cal so I doubt your springer or Marlin will break it under normal use. I would probably get an adjustable scope that costs a little bit more on a larger caliber center file rifle. For pellets, .22LR, carbines and even AR's this will work fine unless you plan on shooting flies at 300 yards. For the price, I do not think you can beat this deal. My scope rings cost more than the scope itself and I bought the cheapest rings I could find that would work on my setup. So go get a few and try them before reading all the voodoo reviews and gear snobbery out there on the internet.

  • Fit the need.

I got the 22cal. conversion for my AR15. I got this scope just for that. After sighting it in at the indoor range,I was able to spot my hits at 25 yards. No need for a spotting scope. The target was clear so I tried a little rapid fire. Twenty rounds in 30 seconds. Only two in the ten ring, the rest were all in the X ring. Now it became clear why I got this scope. Could not beat the price, this really paid off. Well worth the money.

  • Works for few shots, then needs readjustment. Very hard to zero. Not for springers.

My scope was out of adjustment range. I had to play with rings to zero it. Don't buy it if you have no mechanical skills. May be OK on PCP gun, or something with low kick. I put this scope on spring rifle - was good for about 20 shots. After this didn't hold zero, had to readjust every few minutes. Cross-hair is thick/wide, sometimes covers small target. Summary: if you have not much money to spend - buy this scope, see if works, and maybe keep it. If you can afford - buy real scope, don't waste time with this garbage. I returned it, will buy real scope.
