Of the quality manufacturers, only Bosch and Milwaukee make 12V drill /drivers and impact drivers in this compact style and format. Despite their 12V rating, they still pack a punch and are useful in tight spaces or working overhead. The compact battery size only goes up to 3.0Ah. 4.0 and 6.0Ah batteries are available but they change shape to a smaller version of an 18V battery, somewhat lessening the advantage of the compact size. Having three 3.0Ah batteries, with one always charged and one on the charger is probably the best idea if constant use is going to be required. Not a substitute for an 18V workhorse by any means, but still a very handy supplement.
This is a superseded model and Bosch is running them out at present. While they're still available, they're excellent value for money.
Great quality drill, that's really compact and lovely to use. Being so small it also gets into spaces that other drills don't go anywhere near. My favourite handy drill for quick odd jobs.
As a user of Bosch tools for many many years. I have many of the 12 & 18v range. All have been great tools. So had no hesitation in buying the Bosch 1
