I love the thermal cooking pot. I seasoned, floured & browned a large chicken in a fry pan first, then put it into an oven bag with 1 Tbs spiced & herb flour, expelled as much air as I could & closed the too with a rubber band to seal it. Then I put it into the inner pot, together with some vegetables, covered the lot with water, then brought it up to the boil & simmered for 10 min. Then I took it off the heat & placed the inner pot into the Thermal outer pot, & sealed it. It was beautifully tender 3 hours later on opening it up. Roast chicken & poached vegetables in a cool kitchen on a 40C plus day!!!

It works very well and retains the heat for many hours from early morning to evening. No need to use any more gas or electricity once it is boiling; place it in the outer pot and close the lid. Nice to come back to a fully cooked stewed meal which retains all of the flavour which would otherwise be partially lost using conventional cooking methods. The gold standard in this area is the Japanese made "Tiger" model which is about 3-4 times the price of this product. The Tiger is better made and more durable using better gauge steel. This product works on the same principle and gives good results. It is certainly value for money.

Overall it is an excellent thermal pot. Can be used on induction cooker too. However, sometimes it is too big when you are not cooking much. Would be better if also available in smaller sizes.
