Easiest way to transfer old tapes directly to digital files
This reasonably priced product provides the opportunity to save videotapes before they "rust" away and save them to another format. I used to have to transfer tapes to dvds. That's still not digital. This device yields an avi file onto a usb thumb drive (max 16GB) with a limited recording time of 2 hours 36 minutes. Now beware that output is old 4:3 ratio and 720x480 resolution. You get video, you get sound, nothing spectacular at all, but your brain fills in the gaps. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Memories are for sharing and the best way right now is via a digital file of minuscule size. Do someone a favour and bring a tear to their eye. Fabulous.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
