A lightweight, accurate chrony that works in any light conditions
While I have only used the magnetospeed sport model a couple weeks now I like it very much so far. It' easy to set up and I trust it's accuracy. Once you initally set it up on a rilfe it's really quick and easy to attach to your barrel. You need not have to buy anything else to make it work like tripods etc. It's pretty small and lightweight too. I do wish the cord on it to the box was longer but other than that it's been great. I like that it can be used when a optical chrony may fail to work or give accurate readings such as during low light conditions. It is clearly made cheaply so care should be taken and this type chrony is not as versitle as a screen type as it will not measure non metalic things like paintballs, arrows and such. It's mainly just for rifles.

The Sporter, a different Chronograph, simple and economic
The Sporter is a different chronograph; its design is compact, simple and portable. Their application to the canyon of the rifle is easy. Bullet´s velocity is always measured at the same level, when leaves the canyon. Although manufacturer’s instructions show nice graphics in the same position I have installed the Sporter in the canyon in different positions to adapt its holding to different rifles designs, e.g. lever action Rifles (Picture). I even fixed it upside down on revolvers, giving me precise and repetitive measurements. Its only limitation is with short gun pistols where blow back interferes with the fixation to the canyon (An adapter should be designed for these purposes). For me, as a Reloader, has been a pleasant experience, simple and useful to use, free of the limitations of brigtness. Its competitive price makes the Sporter Chronograph a great friend for the reloaders. I fully recommended.

It's EASY and it works!!!
Very pleased so far, with one day at the range. Read about faults but don't agree with them. Used second shim on top of barrel to sandwich barrel, with strap worked great, NO sliding. It's not built like an AK47, but then it's not a battle weapon either. Fun having EASY chrono readings without having to set up a device on a tripod in just the right place to shoot through !!! Have established my first velocity nodes, now to focus on those loads to see how well they group. This, along with spacing by ogive rather than tip, seems to be helping me tighten up. Yea!

Chronographing Made Easy and Fast
Set-Up is fast and the instructions are easy to follow. Only designed for rifles, not handguns. Attaches right to the barrel of the rifle, so no tripod to blow over in the wind. Works on the bullet passing through an electromagnetic (EM) field so no problems with changing ambient light from passing clouds. Has three sensitivity settings for different velocities. Holds up to 20 shots and provides avg. vel., standard deviation, highest vel., lowest vel., and extreme spread. Very reliable and easy to use. Light and compact, fits right into the shooting box. I've had other chronos, but this is the easiest and quickest to use. Didn't need all the bells and whistles of the upgraded model, just a handy chrono to check my loads, and this is a good one.

Magnetospeed Sporter - highly recommended!
Great piece of kit. Took mine to the range a few days after I got it. Worked straight out of the box with no fiddling around whatsoever and gave consistent readings without any errors. The display unit is basic, with a single button which you use to scroll through the menu, which, once you get used to it, is simplicity itself. The Sporter is an entry level, no frills version of the V3, which does pretty much everything its big brother does but at half the price. I purchased the cable to connect to my Samsung app to download the shot string data (optional). All in all, I am very pleased with this product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great product, Simple Set Up
Very simple to set up and use. Instructions clear and concise. Good for use at range can set up, get data and not interrupt other shooters. Data accurate, weather and lighting independent unlike optical chronograph. Had no issue with unit loosening on 6.5 Creedmoor or AR 15 .

Easy to install and use shot 18 missed 1 readout the strap loosened up after 10 shots but its easy to frighten my tripod unit would miss 3 or 4 in 18 shots and have to wait for the range to go all clear to adjust

Useful basic chronograph
The Magnetospeed Sporter chronograph is a basic but useful tool for hand loaders. The manual is minimal but covers the operation. My personal nit-pik is the display is rudimentary and the many abbreviations used are a bit confusing because of the restricted pixel format of the display. MY first use of the chronograph went well and through the user sheet and trial and error I got the data I needed. With repition the operation will get faster I'm sure.

GREAT PRODUCT from Magnetospeed
The Magneto Speed Sport Chronograph is a GREAT product, a long time coming I'd say. One thing though, the display issued with the Sport model is very hard to read as it cycles through the options. That is the only thing that is archaic about it, otherwise it is a piece of up to date technology and worth the money. It is very hard to keep from lending to everyone at the range, man am I ever popular when I bring it, which is every time I go shooting. I love it. Bud
