Requires annual subscription.
Updating from the original Splatoon on Wii U, it came as a surprise that this game requires annual subscription. Which is $55 a year for a family in Australia. Almost another parise of a game. I know that you can play offline, and that I have been warned in T&C, but it is what it is: I bought the game for my boy's birthday; I have failed to realize that there is this hidden cost; we plugged it in on his birthday to discover that we had to buy an annual subscription; being a birthday and all, I had to buy the subscription.
