If you're 'on the fence' about choosing an audio interface, you simply cannot go wrong with a Focusrite Scarlett. In addition to working quietly with no audible him, and built in pre amps that make anything sound good, the unit is made of metal, quite durable and quite attractive..

its ok for the price but its not much better than an Mbox2, but I recommend it for vocals, if you got a decent mic, but if you have an mbox dont think this is a major upgrade for you, its not! It works well with mac, so I hear and I know its not that great with Windows, the setup process really sucks. But if you don't mind the headaches and want to have it as a secondary or an extra interface go for it, its a good deal in that case. Im not really disappointed with it but , Don't believe the hype! I have 2 Imacs and 2 Windows Pcs but I have not tried this on my mac yet.

The Scarlett was brand new in packaging and works perfectly. I was able to install the software that comes with the interface and set it up as my own. This is a great price for a brand new Scarlett - I did a lot of price comparison before buying. My item arrived early as well.

Crystal clear sound, as expected from this manufacturer. Connecting a non-pro headset proved to be interesting, though. I had to get an XLR adapter (from XLR to 3.5mm) that also did voltage conversion of the 48v -> 3v. And a standard non-pro mic won't work at all on Line 2, even with a 3.5mm -> 1/4in converter. That's no fault of the box. It is designed for pro gear, which all works just fine. I just happen to be using a gamer headset with slightly diff design of jacks. But got it to work! And man it sounds good.

Excellent product for podcasting or voice narration. The only thing I wish Focusrite had done would be to separate the headphone jack and the monitor speakers outputs, would keep you from having to power isolate your monitors.

An incredibly noticeable jump in quality form the $40 USB microphones I was using before. Not so incredible that I would recommend it to just anyone, but for those who work with sound frequently, and have $200 to spare on one of these and a good XLR mic, It's a great purchase!

I love the Focusrite Scarlett Solo. It just worked, and I found other uses for it than what I expected. It drives my monitors. It even interfaces with games like Rocksmith 2014 with a few tweeks. I couldn't be happier.

It looks like a "pro interface" made of metal. I don't give a 5 stars not because of the interface it is because de DAW's that it includes in this package I could download from their website however I couldn't run perfectly on my PC, actually those DAW's never run, I'm working with Reaper and with this DAW runs perfect. So, definitely I recommend this interface, but if I knew it I just purchased the item without the DAW's for less price and to get the DAW by my own.
