SImple, effective, easy care
This electric shaver is small but powerful and gives you a very close shave. It is also very easy to clean. I learned about it from my barber. They all use it where I get my haircut and swear by it. If it holds up to these guys who cut hair all day, it's good enough for me. It seems Andis thought it all out ahead of time. Unlike other brands which have 50 models because they can't figure out how to do it right, or they just want your money, Andis shows that simple designs work best and lasts. You don't need three rotating heads, gels, and hundreds of dollars to get the close shave you always wanted.

Don't Always Believe the Hype.
After all the hype that I read and watched online, I find it difficult to believe that this product is as popular as it appears to be. When you run an electric razor over the same area up to 10 times and your whiskers are all still there.... then there is a problem somewhere. I made sure to apply light pressure and hold the product at the proper angle (as per the instructions) and the the only difference was chaffed skin. This product did even worse on my neck. None of the whiskers were cut and I had what looked (and felt) like burn marks on my throat. This is not the most expensive electric razor on the market, by far. But it's not cheap either. It has a very lightweight "cheap feel" to it. I don't care what a razor looks like, or feels like in my hand. Those are non-issues with me. As long as the product works, I honestly don't care. That being said, this razor is poorly designed. It looks and feels like you're shaving with a 3 1/2 inch section of two-by-four. That and the lackluster color scheme makes this thing about as ugly as my 6th grade English teacher.Read full review

Great shaver for scalp
I had this shaver for about 3 weeks. I use this shaver on my scalp and I shave about 2-3 times a week. I have no irritation after I am done shaving with it, make sure that you do not push down on the shaver to hard when shaving. Take the time to understand how to use the shaver, I watched a couple of YouTube videos to understand my scalp and how to use it properly. The reason I purchase the shaver because I got tired of going once a week to the barber to shave my head and paying $15 $20 for that. I taught myself how to shave my head by trial and error. The shaver is a great value and now I keep my scalp nice and clean cut. I tried a couple other shavers but this one so far is the best for me can't go wrong for the money that it cost. The cons in opinion is that it pretty loud and it does vibrate quite a bit but it's not a big issue just letting you know what to expect. The other con that I noticed to get the best performance out of the shaver I need to clean it pretty often. Just read the instruction book it is pretty easy to clean. The reason I did not give it 4 stars because four stars in my opinion represent perfection the following cons is the reason for that. So if you don't mind the cons that I wrote then in that case it is four stars. To get the best results: 1. keep the machine clean. 2. If you have long hair you need to trim down to double zero with electric clippers, just buy cheap one that is want I did. 3. Make that scalp and hair are completely dry. Most comfortable and smooth electric shaver I’ve used
This thing is awesome. When I went to this awesome barber shop in Chicago he used this to get a close shave on my head and it worked like a charm to where I had to ask where he got it and what brand. Definitely worth the price.

Great Razor does a smooth shave.
My husband is 95 years old and over his shaving years he has numerous razors, however this one seems to be the best yet. The search for a good razor was done by me, his wife and I followed the lead of what 'actual barbers' said about this razor. I also am the one that shaves him and in the past 2 years tried 2 other razors we bought and NONE gave him the close smooth shave that Andis gives him, must say he does have a stiff beard that can challenge any brand of razor----but the Andis#17150 beat all the others out.
