Floating disc EBC Prolite, Floater complete. Made in the UK. The goal in the development is to improve the braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC used low carbon HPSR steel, having a high coefficient of friction of 18%. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3 micron thick zinc coating, which abrades itself already during deceleration in the pad contact area. Only in this area, light surface rust can form after prolonged use. The brake discs are drilled in bird's wings design as much as possible to get along with the fewest number of holes with excellent cleaning of the brake disc of rain water and brake dust.
