When French Police Captain Richard Kemp (Csar Award winner Jean-Hughes Anglade, Betty Blue) investigates the murder of psychiatrist Helene Batistelli (Melanie Thierry, The Zero Theorem), he links the mystery to a serial killer known as Earwig from a time earlier in his police career. But when he is attacked by an unknown assailant and left for dead in the same river as victim Helene, Kemp awakens twenty years in the past, May 1989, the day before the first murder committed by Earwig. With an opportunity to prevent the murders ever taking place, Kemp investigates and reconnects with the mysterious Helene, but also risks getting in too deep and becoming the main suspect himself.
