This review applies to the ABC release in Region 4. As the first spin-off from the Wallace and Gromit franchise, Shaun the Sheep never fails to entertain, regardless of your age. The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) has the licence to broadcast and release home media of Shaun the Sheep in Australia, but it has been somewhat unpredictable in its home media release schedule: while the complete Series 1 box set has been out for a long time, Series 2 is yet to be out as a complete box set; likewise Series 3. This is the latest release which completes Series 3 as individual discs, the other two being Prickly Heat and Mission Inboxible; unlike Series 1 and 2 which contain 40 episodes each, Series 3 and 4 contain 20 each. One thing to bear in mind is that the episodes included in each disc is different from its equivalent release in other countries; if you started getting ABC releases, getting BBC releases can be frustrating, and not just because of Region issues. On the programming itself, it's business as usual, with a blend of warm-hearted humour, occasional pop culture references, and classic silent movie storytelling. The extras inside are well worth a look too. Definitely recommended... if you are in the Region 4 world.Read full review
