I Love It and Stream My DVR To My phone
It was fairly simple to set up. It works well... perfect? No. Some of it has to do with your cell phone network. It works 99% of the time, but on occasion you lose the feed and have to reboot. IT WILL EAT a pile of data. I have unlimited. There are no monthy fees. I read some whining about commercials? Ha ha. There is a commercial it shows right when you fire up the app every other or 3rd time, lasts 15 seconds. These intro commercials happen once and a while, and once when you first open App... It is hardly a big deal. I went with this used older model because I don't care about HD on a small phone. The quality of video is very good... audio good or good enough.... I'm Happy. Perfect for place casting cable with older WDTV live streaming, NOT firestick
This device is working as expected, lets me watch TV or my DVR on the go or if I am on assignment over seas. Only takes component connects, so you'll need an HDMI to Component and Component to HDMI adapters for most newer cable boxes if you tv and set top box dont have component... get the ones with scaling if you dont want a headache, Solo only supports 720p and down. Got this specifically for my slew of WD TV Live boxes. Sling app for android and apple will work, but fire stick wants the newer M1 and up boxes. You need a fairly decent up bandwidth for remote viewing, atleast 1.5 mb down reliable; same on thr return side. A couple negative bits about the company... they sued the pants off of other competitors... this happened after they were purchased by a satellite tv provider. I belive that limits innovation. Monsoon made a great product (belkin repackaged them), the Vulkano that had a built in DVR and you could place cast between devices and pc, etc... all for $100, the quality was a bit lower but bandwidth was about halved.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works as advertised... but... speaking of advertising...
I used to have an old Slingbox that I lost in a house fire. I just bought this used one as a replacement, and I love the features, but I'm a bit annoyed that the sling player now plays ads everytime before it lets you watch your own TV, and then keeps playing ads in a little window off to the side of the player unless you put it full screen..Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
