This grease is wonderful for stopping electrical tracking. My application was the Lithium-Ion battery of a Lidl 20 volt angle grinder that I had fitted with a modified Black & Decker carbide-tipped circular saw blade. This rather dangerous tool was superb for demolishing overgrown "jungle" in my garden but by wearing leather welding gloves and holding the tool with BOTH hands until it had stopped, accidents were averted. Almost averted that is because when the tool was put down it fell into a tyre that had water in it, oops! (Grass had grown over the tyre so the water was not visible) The tool was pulled out of the water but it would no longer run. The battery was low anyway after cutting lots of blackthorn and brambles. When the battery was recharged the red test-light came on and then the amber as well, something was probably fizzing! £s£s£s? When the battery was dismantled it was fairly obvious that the fault was the test switch. WD40 almost worked but after a while the red light came back on again, duh! The Carlube silicon grease was then tried and Voila! The red light went out and stayed out! Incidentally those batteries are not sealed as where the connector is there are apertures big enough to take the output of a domestic water tap! Upgrading to (lets say) Hilti quality with fully-sealed batteries would be extremely costly so for the hobby-user a tube of Carlube silicone grease is a wise investment. The grease can also be used on 240 volt electricals that are apt to stream with condensation when a warm-front comes through. Only a microscopic film is needed!Read full review

Very very thin grease. After dismantling and cleaning brake calipers, the next step is to grease the moving parts...I did just that with this item... Within seconds of greasing the parts and starting to rebuild the brakes, the grease had migrated all over the parts I had just cleaned! Very very thin, copper ease and other silicone greases I have used generally stay where you put them. Unfortunately this grease doesn't get along with gravity very well. I would estimate 80% of the applied grease drippped/slipped/ran away from the application point, not very safe when using on vehicke braking systems.

Used this product on the rubber seals around my car doors and roof as they were dry and let water in. After using this product to feed the rubber the leaks seem to have stopped.

Useful lube for the garage etc. Not too thick like grease easy to spread and I've found it to be more effective for some applications that silicon sprays.

This is very good if you require a silicon lubricant, however it's more like thick oil than grease, which is fine for my requirements, but not good is you require a grease like lubricant, that doesn't drip.

Tube unopened but half empty, had to roll up half of the tube to get the silicone grease out and when it did it was more like water very very runny. All other brands of silicone grease I have used in the motor trade and at home for many years have never been anything like this utter rubbish, it went in the bin and I went out to buy some decent stuff elsewhere.

I have used this product before. It is excellent for marine use but is too thin for many other uses. Good on plastics and rubber fittings.

Have had the tube, unopened, for six months. Came to use it and pierced the top and, like other reviewers have found, it's runny ... like thick oil. Rang Carlube, who were as helpful as they could have been, but it's out of stock and it's not known when, or if, new stock will be available. They offered to send something else instead, which was good of them. Not recommended.

If you work on brakes this is very useful for lubricating the rubbers. Do not get onto pads of course. Handy tube to keep in the toolbox.
