I have these speakers in a 99 Corvette with an Alpine 126Bt, Alpine KTP 445 power pack, Infinity Ref 5.25 and a Sound ordinance powered sub. They are probably a little under powered in my system but I find loud does not always mean sounds better. I have JBL speakers in all 3 of my vehicles so I may be biased. The bass in these speakers will surprise you, I know it did me. The 2 ohms make it feasible to use your existing stock wiring as well and they were built with that in mind, thus one of the reasons for 2 ohm. If you're powering them with a big amp you may want to upgrade your wiring though. The positioning of the speakers in a C5 Corvette is suspect so I don't get the full potential from these speakers, but I have the JBL 608C in my Mustang and they are also excellent speakers with way better positioning, so I rate them even with the edge going to the 660 if you are adding a big amp. You will have to play around with the db setting. I actually have one set at 0 and one at -6. Both at -6 is to low and both at 0 was to crisp. HPF set at 80 on these and on the sub. I would put these speakers up against any of what I call over priced speakers that attempt to make you believe they're better just because they have a high price. Oh yeah, the crossover is huge so you will have to find an adequate place for it. I personally don't see much of a difference in the 660 and the 608C so long as you have a mild amp, or no amp at all. No amp I would go with the 608c.Read full review
Best speakers I've ever owned. They gave me the bass I didn't know I needed. I have pioneer D1702 6x9s in the rear deck of my 2000 Buick Lesabre along with 2 Infinity Kappa 10in sub's into the trunk. I didn't think I needed any more bass. I was wrong! These JBLs are in the front door with the tweeters in the sail panels. I havent done anything yet to deaden the doors but these P660c's just pound the bass guitar notes. I have 150rms going to each side and they sound like they could handle even more. I like my music very loud but these play even louder than I can take. What little distortion does creep in at stupid volume levels sounds like its coming from the amp rather than these speakers. The tweeters are great also, not harse at all. My Fluke meter shows exactly 2ohms at the crossover input.Read full review
I did my research and after hearing rave reviews about this set, I decided to see what all the hype is about! After installing them on an amp, I was blown away of the clarity of these speakers, not to mention the bass output for components!! They're built like tanks and come with an awesome crossover. I listen to a wide variety of music and these speakers love anything I throw at 'em!! They can handle a lot of power and keep on taking!! If you've never tried the JBL Power Series speakers, I recommend you do...you won't regret it!!!!
My stock pioneers for a 2010 Scion XD actually sounded great when dialed in. Tight flat sound was great. Turn the station or use another source and there goes easy listening. Dialing the sound constantly. The JBL's sound really good and once dialed everything sounds good. Warm and clean. Glad I got em! Also have a pioneer avh3200 deck and bazooka 8" powered sub.
Nice speaker. Ive tried kenwood coax its too loud for me,, then infinity kappa full range w/c is loud and clear., but since this jbl is component its more define. I feed this speaker with alpine 1300 wts 4 channel and tune it with kicker front row., i put sound deadening in all my doors and trunk.Over all the clarity of jbl is good mid bass is ok twit is ok. Just let the prof tune it so youll be satisfied., remember diff cars diff sound outcome even you have same speakers.
Working good in my car,thanks.

Jbl has yet too let me down. Awesome product, comes with everything u would ever need. And respectively cranks out high quality audio!
These speakers were defining pieces for the ultimate sound. The woofers are durable and the separate tweeter pods are crisp & clean and completely blow away the sound of the treble of the JBL P963's.
