The Western Digital WD1600AAJB hard drive offers solid performance and reliability for computing needs. This hard drive is best used in desktop PCs and is one of the most powerful drives in Western Digital's Caviar Blue line. Aside from everyday computing use, heavy data storage is accommodated when you use this 160 GB internal hard drive as backup drive. The 7200 RPM spindle speed and 8 MB buffer make this WD hard drive great for demanding applications. This drive uses a PATA interface, which allows it to be used with older computers. The drive's external transfer speed is 100 Mb/s. Its Intelliseek algorithm, hard corded into this device, optimizes seek speeds to decrease noise, vibration, and power consumption.
