    Belt of high quality

    The Gates belt is near-precise. The tooth markings are off by 1/4 tooth but if you make the offset consistent, you'll be OK. Get crank set at TDC before doing anything else. This will leave the left and right camshafts at TDC, too. Leave the lower right idler pully off until last; it's easier. The original equipment I removed @ 105K miles was in perfect shape; I came away with tremendous respect for Japanese engineerig. I am keeping them. I do have a concern that the replacement parts aren't really OEM; they are Chinese and seem a little tight. I put them on anyway and will see how they do. I am trusting that Gates vetted their suppliers before giving them Gates' name.
