    Great product at a fair price

    I had at least 2 coils that had run their life at 187,000 miles. I replaced them with the MSD Street Fires (and some new plugs) at less than half the prince of factory coils. My 02 Exploder runs like new again. Great quality, at a fair price, with a trusted name brand.

    Caused problems with my vehicle.

    I installed these on my stock 2004 Lincoln Town car with 77,000 on the odometer. I had a mix of different coils on the vehicle and wanted a matching, quality set. I've used MSD products before and these have reviewed well, here, and in forums. I installed them in late March and everything seemed fine, smooth idle, no missing. As the weather warmed up I noticed my headlights flickering under load, low rpm's, just above the downshift threshold, if that makes sense. Car would kind of studder/hesitate a tiny bit. I bought a cheap cigarette lighter voltage gauge to monitor the voltage while driving and it would completely drop off under the above conditions. I checked and cleaned every ground on the vehicle, per wiring manual, and tried another alternator. I had already disposed of my old coils at this point so I ordered a used set of Motorcraft coils off of eBay, threw them in and the car is perfectly fine again. It is beyond me why a set of coils would cause this issue. Acted as though they were messing with my PCM. I emailed MSD tech support a few weeks ago about my issues and I have yet to receive a reply. For the price, I guess they are worth a try. Just unlucky I suppose, they are refurbished after all. I just wanted to get my experience out there so people don't go chasing electrical gremlins and buying other parts (alternator in my case) they don't need because of these coils.

    Best bang for your buck

    Cheaper than stock coils by a long shot. Wish I would have found this kit before I had to buy 2 at once. Now all are new. Have had no more coil issues since I installed these coils on my 5.4L

    Worked good,helped idle and over all running

    They were packaged well,good looking and consistent construction,performs better than stock,had a idle issue on hotter days before installation,better power,response and steady running after installation,not huge improvement but definitely a improvement,worth the money
