Harnoncourt employs brisk tempos and sharp articulation, to go with all original instruments of Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Don't be mislead by the word "chamber" - this orchestra is comprised of +60 players from across Europe, many of young age. They play with energy to burn. Just listen to the french horns at the close of Symphony #3 - they let it rip. I have several other recordings of this work by Cleveland, Berlin and London. They are competent but too civil compared to Harnoncourt. This one is a keeper.
