- Watch looks beautiful, though some may find it "too busy". - Watch never needs batteries (solar charging) and even has power saving modes, which is fascinating for a techno-enviro-energy saving guy like me. - I've always been a sucker for dual display (analog/digital) watches. As such, this watch has MANY useful functions: stopwatch (split/stop), countdown timer (1-99 minutes), many time zones (analog aligns with any time zone you want at the press of button), 3 Alarms (in any time zone), calendar (with day of week, month, and year - never need to correct for leap year, month, or daylight savings), and slide rule calculator on the outer dial, of which I have more to say in the next bullet.

I had been looking for a Citizen Eco-Drive watch that had a chronograph feature that measured 12 hours or more. This watch goes to 24 hours. I love the Eco-Drive no battery to replace feature and the radio controlled WWVB "atomic clock" synchronization keeps the time displayed spot on. Changing to a new time zone during travels doesn't lose any time either. A key feature of this titanium model versus the stainless steel model is that the SS one is half again as heavy. I can wear this watch all day and never notice its heft. The rotating slide rule also allows me to make basic calculations. Add a count down timer to keep presentations from running too long and alarm capability and you have quite a list of useful features in one package. For these reasons the Citizen JY0010-50E is one of my favorite watches.Read full review
This watch is spot on in every way imaginable. To begin with, it is a Citizen Ego Drive, which for those who don't know means it is LIGHT POWERED. It will charge under virtually ANY light source, but most useful is solar power. give it a few hours in the window sill or where it can get direct sunlight and it will charge fully, never needing batteries or changes again. Just light to keep it powered and working. THAT alone is reason enough to own this, or any Eco Drive. Secondly, it is a striking looking watch and never fails to be noticed. The black face and orange markings make it very noticeable. The Black Ion coating give it a more rugged and military look than some of its sibling watches of other design. (Personally, I also own the full titanium version as well) Third, it is a technological wonder, and the real reason watch geeks and fans appreciate it. I won't list ALL of the features here but they include perpetual calendar, stopwatch, timer, two alarms, UTC and multi city time zones, power indicator, AM/PM indicator and A-T (Atomic Timing) for virtually anywhere in the world. It resets itself daily, and on demand if need be. There are as I stated, several variations of this timepiece, from the Blue Angels and Red Arrows, to the Stainless Steel model. the newest generation changes the pusher arrangement and adds a slightly newer movement and adds a crocodile strap Rose Gold version to the lineup, but to me, this generation is the classic. The titanium version is almost 40% lighter than the Stainless version, and the Black Eagle comes in at lighter than the Stainless, but heavier than the Titanium so take your pick, you will not be disappointed.Read full review

I agree this is a great watch with plenty of useful features and good looks. Its radio receiver insures it is accurate at all times because of syncing to atomic clocks, its digital computer easily shows the time at any city in the world by choosing that time zone, and its dual display is quite handy for those who travel frequently. However, I have minor pet peeves about this watch, and that is the UTC time displayed in the center top window. The UTC minutes hand is white and can be clearly read in the dark, but the hours hand is red and is very difficult to read especially in the dark. Shouldn't the hour hand be more important than the minutes one since the minutes are typically the same like the home time? I want to be able to know what the hour is in UTC time not the minutes, since I know the minutes from my regular minutes hand. I just wish they made the hour hand white and the minutes hand red in the UTC window. Other than that I love everything else in this watch.Read full review

This is a fairly large watch, however the titanium case and bracelet make it much lighter than stainless steel watch of the same size. It sets itself by reading the time signal and it is powered by light. I am very pleased by all of the features.

Extremely accurate (updates itself every night), looks great, and needs no batteries. A little complicated to use but the features are well worth the learning curve. Great watch for those who travel to different time zones.

Have used this watch to navigate the first 8,000 miles of my round the world journey in my hot air ballon with little hassle so far. Can recommended to fellow pilots and the general punter. Particularly like the function that allows easy ordering of a Starbucks coffee and the Uber booking service.

This watch is my first Eco-Drive and it's a real challenge to learn how it works and how to adjust it. After reading the manual I was able to set it to my time zone and the hands adjusted themselves automagically. Since then I've charged it and it is connecting each night to the Atomic clock in Denver just fine.

Fantastic watch, this is my second one. The titanium watch is much lighter than the stainless steel version. Other than that...same watch.
