I have a duff C reed, with metal fatigue, on my Wheatstone original English Concertina. This manual enabled me to sit quietly, take the concertina apart, and find the faulty reed. I removed the reed and re-assembled the concertina, and all works well (with Air flow only on the pull for the "C"). I can now send the reed to Wheatstones for repair. I am continuing to perform with the conacertina playing in "D", whilst I get the C Reed repaired! Saved heaps of cash, thanks to this easy to read manual.
